The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - UN Tribunal at The Hague

UN Tribunal at The Hague

by

James Bredin

Pompous UN tribunal proclaimed at The Hague,
Though their objectives seem to have become somewhat vague,
Taught Slobodan Milosevic how to wince,
With years and years of an ongoing trial ever since.

They need more than Slobodan to make them feel good,
To justify their existence and to be understood,
As they search in the Balkans for some of this and that,
And offer millions of Euros for someone to rat.

Need to justify their survival since they grew,
Politically correct in everything through and through,
International socialists at their UN games,
Looking for Serbians with very strange names.
