The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Changes that should be made in Canada
Changes that should be made in Canada
Changes should be made with the individual in mind,
Not the group-think or the club-link or the voting-block kind,
Not the religion, the region, the prison, the color or race,
Not their sexual-preference propaganda -- in your face.
Multicultural mandarins should not tell you what to think,
You have your own culture and don’t need some other strange link,
But they know what’s best in their politically correct rules,
These would-be communists expect you to submit like little fools.
And we do because we’ve been trained and taxed into submission,
No referendums or callbacks to interfere with these conditions,
No questions asked to lifetime appointees - till they’re seventy-five,
This fantasy of freedom is alive but that’s all that survives.
