The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Advice to George W Bush

Advice to George W Bush

by

James Bredin

George: Iím on your side and I hope to hell you hear me out,
I watched since 9/11 and like you, I had no doubt,
You may not like this advice, George, but itís the best youíll get,
Just remember Iím on your side, George, though weíve never met.

Tell them youíve decided to leave for now and give them the date,
Tell them Ďbout their civil war, anarchy but youíre up for debate,
And youíll be back when Saddam crawls out from under his rock,
Or for any other reason such as that Baathist regime flock.
