The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Reality and the United Nations
Reality and the United Nations
If this war is not approved by the United Nations,
They’ll find themselves as irrelevant as the League of Nations,
Say goodbye to their dishonorable Human Rights Commission,
They tried to extort billions and an apology with conditions.
At Durban they met till four days before nine eleven.
Then Osama and his crowd sent four thousand to heaven,
At the World Trade Center not far from the United Nations,
So much for all those UN peacekeeping operations.
They’ll make this decision by themselves because money talks,
And organizations with lack of much money, tend to walk,
Pompous political correctness has pushed them up to the edge,
Piously posturing, it will knock them off their high and mighty ledge.
