The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Quotas for the Police

Quotas for the Police

by

James Bredin

Our politicians want an amnesty in a couple of weeks,
For illegal refugees, terrorists and pedophile geeks,
And those who constantly claim rights and insist police are bad,
‘Cause the way they deal with dealers is downright dangerous and sad.

And the police should deal with dealers among their own ranks,
It’s only fair for employment quotas to stop these pushy pranks,
‘Cause when the insane run the asylum everything will be fine,
And criminals wont do time and the dollar will be worth a dime.

And we can celebrate the justice system being so pure and free,
Everything will be nice and carefree and everyone will agree,
Because Utopia is there and we only have to insist,
Wall to wall quotas, anarchy, bedlam, riot and resist.
