The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Ponder My Poetry
Ponder My Poetry
I'm afraid my poetry is not soft or nice,
Not about raindrops and roses to be precise,
Not about the meandering rivers or the moon,
Or the leaves that fall and leave in autumn too soon.
I feel delinquent when I read theirs and compare,
My poems with those who are serious and declare,
Their love of love and life and their elation,
While I ponder rogues in political relation.
