The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Peace can be dull compared to war
Peace can be dull compared to war
We don’t need much of a reason to go to war,
Amid international terrorism traumatic roar,
Difficult to dwell on this or rationalize the reason,
Is this human nature or is it just the season?
Osama Bin Laden taught us terrorist humiliation,
Thousands died at their nine eleven station,
Trade Center buildings came crashing to the ground,
And many of the dead people were never found.
And then they gloated and boasted ‘bout this terrible deed,
‘Bout queer group Al Qaedra that everyone should heed,
It didn’t matter that none of what they said made sense,
Or that Osama Bin Laden was more than a little dense.
