The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Hole in the Ground

Hole in the Ground

by

James Bredin

Thereís a hole in the ground in the middle of Quebec,
Itís near the Shawinigan golf course I suspect,
Thatís where the missing billion and more went,
They couldnít find it Ďcause no one was sent.

A billion sixty-cent dollars is quite a pile,
Stacked up it would be as high as a country mile,
All forgotten it never happened so they say,
Thanks to Kyoto, the war and trivia of today.
