The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Canadian left-wing propaganda
Canadian left-wing propaganda
Those who own certain newspapers have their own agenda,
With ability and resources to pound their propaganda,
They want to spread their pious language like music from their bands,
Reason they want Canadian peacekeepers in far distant lands.
They advertise their own self-righteous rules and regulations,
Followers, disciples, comrades, cadres, and relations,
Politically correct though they say theyíre fair and polite,
And they hate with a vengeance those who might be right or bright.
They want to stick to the status quo and not rock the boat,
In league with their political friends, they always praise and gloat,
Their twisted liberal logic leaves much to be desired,
Like committed little communists that co-opted and conspired.
They praise the system of appointed Supreme Court judges,
Who make and change the laws without parliament or grudges,
Adore appointed senators without question or query,
Think proportional representation is weary and dreary.
And then it gets worse because Canadians canít rearrange,
Mesmerized by propaganda in a system they canít change,
No referendums or callbacks for those who read the papers,
And no set election dates for conflict-of-interest capers.
