The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - A Legacy of Lies
A Legacy of Lies
His legacy of lies and lechery is a legend indeed,
Largely because he leaves us lots of illegal refugees,
And terrorists too to teach us to be tolerant in our time,
And toughen us up in case the dollar drops down to a dime.
And those pompous politicians pontificate and pretend,
Liberal legislation leaves us no Liberals to apprehend,
Patronage in their compact conceals the illegal impact,
Hypocrisy of hierarchy hidden in Access Act.
Canadians couldn’t care less about his conflict of concern,
Voted Liberals in again which leaves them a lot to learn,
About legacy and larceny and lechery and leverage,
Pious propaganda pumping political patronage.
