The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Legacy of Larceny
Legacy of Larceny
Sure Shawinigan shenanigans showed some courage,
Liberal legacy of larceny to encourage,
Party disciplined dictatorship on display,
Dicey dull details of dodges that taxpayers pay.
And appointees paid plenty to parole pilfering,
Found everything was fine - no financial filtering,
So those who sold their souls should never be afraid,
Of nepotism, despotism or never getting paid.
This arranged arrogance of unquestioned appointees,
Will stamp these shenanigans as a legacy indeed,
Manipulate of the media - managed mystery,
A Liberal legal legend - a legacy for history.
