The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Klein and Kyoto
Klein and Kyoto
Is Ralph Klein just another gutless wonder?
Shouting screaming, hollering -- then buckling under?
Caved in on Kyoto and then sold his soul,
Heís a Liberal point man in the West, Iím told.
Empty management words without leadership,
Canít slow Kyoto or roust Liberal readership,
Canít stop special interest pondering pollution,
Convinced that our oil and gas is just confusion.
That special Shawinigan set is quite tough,
Their disciplined majority in numbers and bluff,
No RCMP needed or the ethics guy,
When 60-cent dollar is a dime, what will it buy?
No proportional representation or callbacks,
No referendums on crooked contracts,
No changes to his Charter constitution,
No Canadian jobs for banned pollution.
