The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - HRDC

HRDC

by

James Bredin

The Mounty and the ethics guy said all was well,
In Shawinigan they were sure -- no sense of smell,
And their well-paid appointments agree and excel,
So why change anything -- there’s no need to dwell,
Only nasty nerds might push the alarm bell,
And that missing billion dollars -- say farewell,
HRDC spin-doctors smoke and mirrors could tell,
And the opposition could shout and go to hell,
And mighty majority Liberals are swell,
Party disciplined personnel never tell or yell.
