The Web Poetry Corner - J. M. Hallett - Flawed

Flawed

by

J. M. Hallett

Oft flawed, the human web
Allowing that so dark to flee
What escapes, it’s said, the evil
In us all... presumably
For the hand that tortures another
'Till walls are splattered red
Is the same that tucks so gently
The infant into bed
