The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - Winter's Stormy Aftermath

Winter's Stormy Aftermath

by

Helen Paquin

I like Your smile
Lord, this day
The sun wonderfully warm
The deep freeze gone
Folks out again

That was some storm
Gray skies a-bustin'
Wild raw winds
Pounding, pounding
Everyone and everything
Cold, and piles of snow
Staring us in the face

For the warm sun, Lord
Some chilly ole bones
Like Your smile too

NEXT?
Why don't you look at I THINK I'M FALLING
