The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - Wheel Wants
Wheel Wants
by
Helen Paquin
They argue over the car
They both want their spaces
She wants one way-
He wants the other-
They can't be in both places
So they argue over the car
Don't seem they're making
headway- She wants it-
He wants it- And it's pouring
cats and dogs today...
She just started driving
Some get that driving itch-
And like the feel of the key
As it clicks the switch...
So the car is shaking
The situation is no laugh
Poor car is a-worried
They'll do like Solomon
And split its pride in half
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
Light and Darkness
