The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - Tight The Hold
Tight The Hold
by
Helen Paquin
Many knots the fingers
loose- Except the knot inside
That tie the stomach up so
tight- When life's
pressures are applied
Often such knots stay tied
too long- Where life's
pressures gnaw day after day
And oh, the pain tied knots
bestow- When life's
pressures overstay...
Such knots have strangle
holds- Solid hold from the
start, That'll hold and hold
until it has, Torn the inner
glow from the heart...
