The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - The Bottle

The Bottle

by

Helen Paquin

Too many folks ruin their lives
By drinking their lives away
And some who wake up too late
Can't see the doom of a day

A pity bottles have to destroy
Till one's body is no longer fit
Pity the will that cannot say,
"Today, I'm going to quit"
