The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - Stay Home!

Stay Home!

by

Helen Paquin

My balcony is
Filled with snow
Can't hardly see
What's going on;
There's only a
Tiny space to
Peek through
To see what's
Come and gone

Car next door
Stuck in driveway
That balcony pile
Near blocks my view;
To see four guys
Are having fun
Trying to push that
Stubborn car through

And, by golly, while I watch
I see that car a-grin-
It's taunting those guys
Trying to push it out of
That snow mess
That it's trying to stay in

NEXT?
Why don't you look at My best friends
