The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - Snow Shine

Snow Shine

by

Helen Paquin

The sun shines
On the snow
It glistens brightly-
A young squirrel
Runs playfully
Up to a huge crow
And his brother-
The squirrel
Thinks he will
Antagonize them a bit
But they face him
With roaring infernal eyes-
The squirrel notices then
How huge the crows are
And he remembers
That thing
About thinking twice-

The sun shines on the snow
Sparkling beautifully white
