The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - She Doesn't Smile

She Doesn't Smile

by

Helen Paquin

She doesn't smile
Has she forgotten?
Forgotten how?

Years ago she glowed
Before the storms
That rocked mountains

Time travels on
People change
Become storms
Too many, too often
That pierce the heart

She doesn't smile
Anymore...
