The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - No Longer Yesterday

No Longer Yesterday

by

Helen Paquin

Lo, the ears
Have turned away
Nothing penetrates thru-
So often now
It seems to be
Slammed doors for you!

So troubles pile
Ten feet tall
Chin deep...
Weakens, till you tire
And all the ears
Beneath the sand
Only add fuel
To the fire

Some wonder why
I like 'alone'
Why I find solace there;
You don't fight ears
That care less, it appears
Ginger brandy
Is more likely to care

NEXT?
Why don't you look at The Reward
