No Dumb Doggy

by

Helen Paquin

Her doorbell rang
Big dog stood out there-
He rang the doorbell?!

He stared at her
Kinda looked like
He was pleadin'
"I wanna come in
It's wet out here, Mam
Rainin' cats N' dogs-
Ummm, excuse the pun
You don't need dogs
An I can do without cats"

"Maybe it's frogs- Yah,
it's pourin' down frogs!
Sure would like to come in
Frogs are gooey critters"

"Sure," she said
"Come in, dog-
But seein' you're so
Bell-ringin' smart, You
better use your smarts
To wipe your muddy paws
Or you'll be learnin' to
Like those gooey frogs!"

NEXT?
Why don't you look at Just a poor theory
