The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - Love's Story
Love's Story
by
Helen Paquin
Love gave up today
It seems somebody lied
Somebody, molded ice
Gave love a bumpy ride
Often somebody promises
What really isn't there
So love suffers unmercifully
When somebody doesn't care
Still, love lingers patiently
Though lingers all in vain
No matter how hard you try
It only turns to pain...
Love died a pitiful death
All bruised and badly hit
Love was buried here today
Where sorrow carried it
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
