The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - Here Fishy-Fishy

Here Fishy-Fishy

by

Helen Paquin

Fella fished one day
Down on his luck
Didn't see a catch
Anywhere in his truck

His face, pure 'blah'
He beats up his hat
You'd do it too-
With luck like that

He throws his pole
Into the tightwad river
And creeps home-
To chow down liver

Wife looks in pail
Frowns at the bottom
That pail on empty
Says, "We ain't gottum"

NEXT?
Why don't you look at Easy Euthanasia
