The Web Poetry Corner - Helen Paquin - Endless Battles

Endless Battles

by

Helen Paquin

Hope...
Oh, it was hers
Many years
But it never
Seemed to do
Anything-
All her dreams
Only crumbled
And died

Hope seemed
So unfaithful-
So useless-
So cowardly-
Never pushing on
A firmly held door

Hope only distressed
Through life's unfair-
As hope saunters away
She has no choice
But to let it go...

NEXT?
Why don't you look at they think they know
