The Web Poetry Corner - Heather Prudence Davis - Rape of the Soul

Rape of the Soul

by

Heather Prudence Davis

Hollowed out
Echoed words
Electric tongues
Flashing neon trains
Zapping blue
Lizards tails
Not frigid
Quite the opposite
Only frightened.
The words are out there
Sudden panic
Fear
Frustration
And pressure.
Constant fear, frustration
And pressure.
Finally succumb
Feel the evaporation
Of your soul.
