The Web Poetry Corner - Heather Prudence Davis - False Hope

False Hope

by

Heather Prudence Davis

Sparkling white monkeys
Running thru the water
Searching for
The red jewels.

Gleaming purple cats
Scavaging thru the fields
Searching for
The red jewels.

Frazzled blue hyenas
Hopping tree to tree
Searching for
The red jewels.

Bleeding colours
Washing the streets
Washing the world
Surrounded within
By the red jewels.
