The Web Poetry Corner - Heather Prudence Davis - Esteem Camouflage
Esteem Camouflage
by
Heather Prudence Davis
Transparent,
like chicken
on a windowpane.
She tries
to disguise
her soul-bruised
eyes.
Fighting
the twisting, raw
pain.
Sugar coating
herself
with desire.
To obstruct
the formidable
piercing.
