Why I Love Him

There are so many reasons
That I love that boy,
And he’s the only one who hasn’t
Treated my heart like a toy.

He’s sweeter than sweet
And loving as can be,
So how did I land a guy
As gentle as he?

His smile is beautiful
And it shines so bright,
And his eyes can turn
The dark heavens bright.

He’s the sweetest guy
I’ve ever met,
And I’d never find another one like him
I’d almost be willing to bet.

I’m so lucky to have my baby
Around in my life,
And I’m glad he’s stuck around through
All my pain and my strife.

I thank the good Lord
That he sent me an angel from above,
And I’m so happy he gave me
Somebody to love.
