Shannon Airport
by
Hay Machine
A dinosaur lies stretched (a cross)
upon a landscape used to loss
The infants yet whose feet are soft
will walk the metres sure
to their Golgotha
Daft older men
Whose lies are worn and dry
I'm sorry for their failure and their plight
But darkness never chooses those who try
The world is better for their soonest flight
The legend is that Fionn was woman-made
the fighting pup is still its mother's trade
He learned himself a boy cannot repel
a fly with just the action of his spell
If Fionn walked over Shannon Airport then
He wouldn't walk while they are there again
