The Web Poetry Corner - Hay Machine - Airing

Airing

by

Hay Machine

The Summer bedroom curtain
billowing occasionally
good for health and outlook
late on Saturday morning
the cool breeze on the ears
drawing up a current
of duvet feather warmth

Open landing window vent
spills the night nitrogen breath and sweat-air out
in a minute all the open space is cleared
but she's thorough
and she thinks as well
about imbedded stinks that smell
and it takes half the day
to blow the carpet and the mattress must away
until the next night

NEXT?
