The Web Poetry Corner - Hardy Parkerson - Poet Feeling Low

Poet Feeling Low

by

Hardy Parkerson

I'm down this evening and I'm feelin' blue.
I'm bored and I have nothing else to do.
So just to help me occupy my time,
I'll write a poem and try to make it rhymne,

No one likes the poems I write;
Sometimes I wonder why I even try it.
I write my poems to have somethin' to do.
I guess I need to find me somethin' new.

I'm getting tired of writing poetry.
It's not the kind of writing suited for me.
I think I'll get away from verse
Before my poems get any worse.

With that I'll end this poem and let it be.
How silly of me to try poetry!
