The Web Poetry Corner - Hal Holmen - Untitled

Untitled

by

Hal Holmen

All is blackness.
I can't see anything.
Where did everyone go?
Life is a dark void.
When will I find the true meaning to life?
Or isn't there one?
Are we all just little pieces in the vast puzzle of life,
or is there some purpose to our being here?

The butterflies are all around.
The spring turns into winter.
Snow, snow, everywhere.
Why is it getting darker?
Sunless days and sleepless nights,
they all blur together.
I sit and wonder why I live,
I light a cigg,
And then I die.
