Time Machine
by
Geoffrey Tiller
She gives me a smile to brighten my day.
I try to talk, but don't know what to say.
If I could go back in time and tell her how I feel,
I'd let her know my love is for real.
I want to hold her but she's no where to be seen,
Why doesn't someone make me a time machine?
I'd hold her hand and tell her "I love you"
and she'd tell me that she loves me too.
We'd be together like we should be.
Just like the sunset and the sea.
But time has past and things have changed,
and the way we feel is not the same.
As I sit here, with my heart broken.
Memories are just a token,
A reminder of the love we should've had.
