The Web Poetry Corner - Geoffrey Tiller - The Flu
The Flu
by
Geoffrey Tiller
While we danced
you stole my heart.
Cupid aimed
and hit me with his dart.
I wish that song
had been an hour long.
Because in my arms
is where you belong.
O Elizabeth,
I want you so bad.
When you're not around
my life is sad.
I'd do anything
to be with you.
Because if beauty was sickness
you'd be the flu.
