The Web Poetry Corner - Gabrielle Bajuscik - one afternoon

one afternoon

by

Gabrielle Bajuscik

i watched the sea turn to sky
embrace the light as though for the
first time
i saw footprints in the sand
i saw the sun shrivel up and the moon be
born
i saw color die and recycle itself only to
die again
all this i saw on that summer afternoon
when i loved you so
