the cities manchaster earrings
hanging on a shelf
so dark and smooth their colors
do they capture and melt

the cities manchaster earrings
waiting in a box
flowers of our evolution
engraved upon the ivory

the cities traced and smeared on
light umbrella sides
are shells
natures candy
candy for the eyes
