Darkness

In the darkness there I lie
so many things I cannot find
something creeps I don't know
what

so many places I cannot hide
there I lie on my island of hope
They can't get me here
as nighttime creeps I crawl

under my safety blanket
hoping the monsters have packed
their bags
and moved away
