The Web Poetry Corner - Fred Mason - Trees.

Trees.

by

Fred Mason

Poplars grow tall enough to pierce the sky.
Plum trees are more subdued and shy.
Whil'st oak trees are more fullbodied and stout.
Hedges are more orderly and know just what they are about.

A home for birds to both roost and sleep.
A place for chrildren to play hide and seek.
Some, their leaves they will lose.
Naked through winter they will cruise.
