The Web Poetry Corner - Fred Mason - My Wish
My Wish
by
Fred Mason
Darling,dearest darling.
Would'st thou walk a pace with me?
Would'st thee hold my hand?
And be my fancy-free.
We'd walk down Lover's Lane.
Through the dappled light.
On that old log we could sit.
And put the world to right.
The scent of sweet hay.
Would put magic in the air.
In each others arms we'd be.
Snuggled together without a care.
Over the style we'd go
And end up by the stream.
On the bank we would lay.
And time would stop, it would seem.
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
one day to remember
