The Web Poetry Corner - Fred Mason - Wedding Anniversary

Wedding Anniversary

by

Fred Mason

Oh,happy anniversary dear.
It would have been our thirty-eighth,this year.
But now you have got Marilyn, your new mate.
You sleeptalked about her most nights until late.
Oh, you must remember waking up talking to me.
You always deny everything darling...To a T.

Even her husband thought she had gone the lesbian way.
Dressing like a man. Bisexual. Gay.
Both you and she frequent lesbian bars.
Driving there in your 'gurly' sports cars.
One day you'll both come out of the closet and say....
"Will you marry me?'Perhaps! a lesbian wedding in May?.
