The Web Poetry Corner - Fred Mason - The Birth of a Poem

The Birth of a Poem

by

Fred Mason

In the Waiting Room with both friends and family around.
Waiting.Ever waiting for the first hint of sound.
The sound of a Poem.Poem Number Two.
Waiting.Ever waiting for the first words to come through.

Suddenly there was heard.
A sound. Was it a word?.
No....False alarm.
Something else had broken the calm.

Then it happened. It was all comming out. This was it.The first rhyme appeared. We all began to shout.
More rhymes appeared. It seemed it would never stop.
We all hoped that this was a good one,and not a flop.
