The Web Poetry Corner - Fred Mason - Silly Billy's

Silly Billy's

by

Fred Mason

When the Silly Billy's come out to play.
Logic and common sense all go astray.
It's a time when outrageuos things are said.
And politeness and courtesy is all but put to bed.

"Can you do this?"Said Marilyn,making a face like a Teddy-Bear,
and leaping from the table top and landing on a chair.
"I can beat that." Said Prue grinning from ear to ear,
standing on her head and drinking a beer.

"Oh no you can't."Said Bruce, lying down on the rug and drinking red wine through a straw from a jug.
"I can beat Prue and Bruce at Silly Billy's any which way,
but I'll never beat Marilyn. She'll always be the best Silly Billy, any day.
