The Web Poetry Corner - Fred Mason - Poem (help me i feel poorly)

Poem (help me i feel poorly)

by

Fred Mason

My poem looked pale.
It said it's lines felt a little stale.
I took it out for a walk in the fresh air.
Did'nt do it a bit of good.Said it was'nt fair.

It wanted to do new things.
Wanted to float around on butterfly wings.
Said it was bored with life.
Had enough with trouble and strife.

So i took it for a flight in a plane.
It loved it so much it wanted to do it again.
Then a holiday by the seaside.
The salty air.The sounds of the sea.A donkey ride.

My poem looked better now.
It did'nt have a heated brow.
It was happy and contented.
It's well being was now firmly cemented.
