The Web Poetry Corner - Fred Mason - My Friend Marilyn.

My Friend Marilyn.

by

Fred Mason

I said to Marilyn."Has Bruce written a poem for you today?.
"No" She said with great dismay.
"Bruce has the trots you know".
"He has lost his 'get up and go'".
"So a poem for me will not be had,
On this International Poetry Day.I'm very sad".
"Cheer up said i".With a glint in my eye.
"You see International Shopping Day is not far away".
"So heart will be happy and gasy".
