Detective Angela
by
Fred Mason
Detective Angela answered the phone.
"Help me i'm all alone".
"Theirs someone out to kill me".
"Where are you?"The detective did plea.
"Come quickly i'm Ahhh".Was all that was heard.
The phone went dead. Not another word.
Angela checked the caller I D.
Put it through the computer you see.
Found the address and set off to investigate.
She hoped it would'nt be to late.
Within a jiffy the detective arrived at the home.
A body she found. She was not alone.
Horrible sights she was used to.
But this almost made her spew.
Enough of this she thought.
If it dwells on my mind i will become distraught.
Onward she went looking for clues.
Outside the reporters were waiting for news.
Suddenly she found what she was looking for.
A fingerprint by the door.
She gave the evidence to the boffins at the station.
Who quickly matched the print that was found at the location.
It belongs to a man called Sam McHail.
Only recently released from jail.
Very soon the culprit was arrested.
In court his alibi was tested.
And back to prison he was sent.
Another 20 year term.Time to repent.
Just another day in the life of Angela the detective.
Looking at ways of making offenders lives more corrective.
