I thought about you today
and the meanings of friendship
there were so many gifts to say
and lost wounds gently mended

You understood my thirsting quest
healed soft, such pain that tore apart
then gave without the least request
and reached within your heart

I thought about you today
and spent some time in wonder
and see a source that never ends
that friends eternal ponder
