The Web Poetry Corner - Faye Hoffman - You

You

by

Faye Hoffman

I think about the first time,
I saw you standing there.
The stars were shining in your eyes,
sunlight dancing in your hair.

A vision of perfection,
before my eyes to see.
A magical illusion,
showering over me.

Inhaled by total beauty,
my heart begins to sing.
Weightless,floating throughout space,
inside an angels wing.

Imagine crystal clover,
or drops of golden dew.
Even pleasures such as these,
could never take my eyes from you.
