Time

Through the eyes of a child,
the world is fancy free.
No thoughts of a tomorrow,
just a young heart full of glee.

Youth is soon forgotten,
when the world,we really see.
Thinking back to yesterday,
where we wish that we could be.

Time is a possession,
that slips by gradually.
Before we know what has happened,
all that's left is a memory.
